Friends,
Welcome back to my bi-weekly newsletter where I update you on my work as a Canadian Parliamentarian.
Fighting Inflation and Tax Hikes
The government has been ignoring the problem of “Justinflation” that so many Canadians have been struggling with. Rather than addressing the problem, they are actually making the problem worse by raising your taxes. I recently gave a speech about the government’s intention to raise your taxes and make life even less affordable. Click the buttons below to either watch or read my speech.
You can help me Fight Inflation and Tax Hikes
Every time I get 30 signatures on a petition, I can present it in the House of Commons and speak about that issue. Please help me and my colleagues fight Liberal tax hikes by signing and sharing this petition.
Emergency Debate: Hurricane Fiona
During a House of Commons sitting on Sept 26th, I spoke about the challenges confronting Atlantic Canada with Hurricane Fiona, and how the government can improve disaster relief by reforming matching programs.
Standing with Ukraine
Just yesterday, the House of Commons voted on my motion to condemn Russia’s attempted annexation of Ukrainian territory.

Getting Iranian Government Agents Out of Canada
Four years ago I put forward and managed to pass a motion in the House of Commons to list the Iranian government’s IRGC as a terrorist organization, and therefore prevent them from operating in Canada. The Liberals ignored this motion and failed to act. As protests against the Iranian regime heat up in Iran and around the world, I am continuing to call on the Liberals to stop allowing foreign terrorists to use Canada as a base of operations.

RESUMING DEBATE PODCAST
EPISODE 35: PAKISTAN FLOODS, AND HOW CANADA SHOULD RESPOND TO INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN DISASTERS.
On today’s episode we discuss the humanitarian crisis in Pakistan. Major floods there are devastating millions of people, killing off livestock, and ravaging the landscape. Joining me for this episode are Dr. Aslam Daud, chairman of non-profit organization Humanity First, and Rahul Singh, CEO of GlobalMedic, an organization providing humanitarian aid across the world. Both offer insight into the reality of the natural disaster at hand and Canada's response. We also discuss more general issues in international development, such as how to prevent devastation like this over the long term. This episode was recorded prior to Hurricane Fiona hitting Canadian shores, and I also want to share my condolences to all those impacted by that storm. We will look to discuss the response to natural disasters in Canada in a future episode. To never miss another episode, like, share, and follow Resuming Debate on Spotify or Apple Podcasts, and don’t forget to leave a review.
I always appreciate hearing from people in my riding and across the country. Please email my office any time at garnett.genuis@parl.gc.ca or call at 780-467-4944, and also share your feedback with me on social media.
All the best,
MP Garnett Genuis
I asked that you stop using the childish term, “justinflation” and yet you continue to use it in your emails. Please take me off your mailing list.
I agree with Al. I’m not interested in mud-slinging or language as “Justinflation”. I really like the work the you are focusing on and the engagement you have created in our community. I do NOT want be unsubscribed from your distribution list unless this is your method/language of communication. All languages have a large range of beautiful words that are much more effective.
